Dr. Francisco Perez-Clavijo has called South Florida home for over 30 years and is committed to providing the area with the finest podiatric care. Dr. Perez-Clavijo graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Microbiology and continued his studies at Barry University, where he received his doctorate in podiatric medicine. He completed his formal medical training at Westchester General Hospital, as chief podiatric resident and he continues to treat patients as an attending physician.

After graduating from his residency, Dr. Perez-Clavijo went into private practice where he provides a wide-range of services for the lower extremity. In addition to his private practice in the Doral, Dr. Perez-Clavijo specializes in limb salvage and wound care and serves as Co-Director of the Larkin Community Hospital Wound Care Center. Patients are treated with the latest wound therapy techniques in an outpatient setting. The wound care team works closely with the patient, family members, and health care professionals to generate and implement a comprehensive plan to facilitate healing.

Dr. Perez-Clavijo is dedicated to the education process and continues to be actively involved in training future and current practitioners. Larkin Community Hospital is a teaching hospital and is host to the training of Osteopathic Medical Residents from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Perez-Clavijo assists the program by providing the residents hands on training in wound care.

Dr. Sandra L. Franco, a native Chicagoan, received a Bachelor in Biology from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She continued her studies by receiving both a Masters in Biomedical Science and a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida.

Dr. Franco completed a three-year Podiatric Residency at Westchester General Hospital where she trained with the top podiatric physicians of South Florida. During her residency, she was exposed to a variety of foot and ankle pathologies; with an extensive focus in the areas of wound care, elective foot surgery, foot and ankle trauma, and primary podiatric care.

In 2011, Dr. Franco traveled to Yucatan, Mexico with Barry University’s Yucatan Crippled Children’s Project. Dr. Franco participated in reconstructive lower extremity surgery performed on indigenous children of the region.

Currently, Dr. Franco is an associate doctor for Podiatry Care Partners, Inc. in Doral. Dr. Franco is a compassionate and committed physician who believes the key to providing quality health care is having open communication with her patients as well as the patient’s entire health care team.

In addition to her podiatric endeavors, Dr. Franco is the medical advisor for Litmus Clinical Research Group. She oversees the medical and scientific writing including clinical protocols, study procedure manuals, standard operating procedures, and investigational brochures.
